That’s definitely not how a bomb fuse would light when it’s literally inside a fire.
The season’s almost over, which is good since there’s really only one show I’ve actually been enjoying watching. It’s been one of the weakest seasons I’ve watched in a long time, and I’m only finishing most of these because I’ve invested too much time to stop now.
Kind of a brief update. Hanebad was delayed, and nothing else stood out in any way.
New Sirius came out early, so I can also update early.
Another week passes, with few surprises.
That’s me watching anime.
Another show bites the dust this week. Can you guess which one? Maybe. Do you care? Probably not.
We’re about a third of the way into the season, and most shows seem to have settled into their comfort zone by now. Too bad that zone is pretty far down. At this point I’d be extremely surprised if anything ends up being more than “Eh, it’s all right”.
And so week 4 comes to a close. At least, my arbitrary definition of what constistutes week 4. Some shows improved while others faltered, but not enough to shake up the rankings much. Usually by this point in the season it’s pretty clear if a show is going to be good, watchable or bad, but this season anything can happen and in relative terms everything is still pretty close together (except for Island, which I’m watching because it’s so bad).
This might be the last update of the season, since shows are dropping like flies now and there’s little point in having a ranking for three shows. Besides, it might be more fun to watch good anime, but it’s much more fun to write about bad anime, and my patience has finally run out with all the trash of this season.
1. Mobile Suit Gundam – Iron-Blooded Orphans (-)
A nice action episode. It had some good moments, and enough tension to keep me interested. Kind of wraps up the current mini-arc, so we’ll have to see what the next conflict will be.
Keep watching? Definitely.
